I ♥ CA

 Hello, readers and creatives!

Today, we are excited to share a custom look we created for our dolls, Zyon and Staci. 

We started by designing custom T-shirts from scratch. Our first step was to make a stencil that reads “I ♥ CA” using our Cricut machine. 

Once the stencil was ready, we moved on to creating the pattern for the T-shirt. For Zyon, we decided to make an oversized tank top. We measured the center of the tank top and placed the stencil accordingly. Then, we filled in the stencil with fabric paint and let it dry for about three hours. Once the paint was completely dry, we carefully removed the stencil. To make the design stand out, we embroidered an outline using silky embroidery thread. We hemmed the neckline of the tank top, while leaving the bottom and sleeves unhemmed for a trendy, worn look.

Next, we created a pair of bright green cargo pants for Zyon. We used silky white embroidery thread to stitch the pants together, giving them a stylish touch that really enhances the overall look. In our opinion, they turned out fantastic! This pair of cargo pants was definitely custom-made for Zyon; his unique personality inspired us.

To complete the outfit, we paired it with orange slip-on sandals. We accessorized with beaded bracelets, a gold chain necklace and bracelet, a side bag with embroidered details, a large silver pendant as a keychain, and a silk bandana to complete his look. Lastly, we included a bottle of water to keep him hydrated.

Now it's Staci's turn! 

For Staci's top, we used the same fabric as Zyon's: a recycled white human T-shirt. We created a tube top with fabric hanging on the sides, which we tied at the back to ensure a snug fit on her upper body. We followed the same stencil steps: measuring the center of the tube top, placing the stencil, filling it in, letting it dry for a couple of hours, and then carefully removing the stencil. We also embroidered an outline around the letters that read "I ♥ CA," showing some love for the state of California. 

Inspired by a cropped cardigan, we used mint sea foam-colored cotton fabric for it. We made sure to hem the neckline, both sleeves, and the bottom, as the fabric tends to fray. The cropped cardigan looks great and is custom-made to fit her personality and curvy body. Staci's skirt was made from the fabric of a headband purchased at Dollar Tree, which was ideal due to its stretchability. It already features a cool checked pattern that reflects light from different angles and has a plush texture. 

We paired the outfit with clear slip-on heels and accessorized with a silver chain necklace. To complete Staci's look, we added a sapphire blue oversized tote bag with a suede texture. We used rose gold glitter embroidery thread to make the stitch details pop against the sapphire blue. Additionally, we added two silver jewels at the end of the straps for a unique touch that surprisingly works well. Staci already has some items in the bag, including a water bottle to stay hydrated.

I believe that Zyon and Staci were the perfect choices to showcase these looks. We are always surprised by the final results since we don't sketch or follow a set plan. We let our imagination flow freely. We hope you enjoy everything we create for our dolls; this hobby allows me to embrace my passion and skills in a way that brings me immense joy.
